Does a canadian citizen need a pport to fly from Texas to Syracure Ny, ?

Ok, I drove to the US from Canada and Im in Tx right now, awating my paperwork for residentsy and my father whats me to come visit so do I need a pport to fly from Houston Tx to Syracuse NY ?, but then from Ny im driving over the boader when Dad picks me up? PLEASE HELP!
