HOW TO GET RID OF A COUGH FAST WHEN YOU ARE PREGNANT?

I"m 6 months pregnant and last week sat it started off with a sore throat then turned into a cough by wed. This cough is killing me i want it to go away it the worst at night. I elevate my pillows when i sleep i gargle warm water with salt. I do honey with lemon and warm water to drink what else can i do please help my poor baby needs ear plugs.
