Can't secession be justified?

No. Without the help of the federal gov't you would be screwed economically. There is nothing different about our gov't now, under Obama, than from past administrations (except Obama is black). What is truly American is to voice your opinion and vote when you don't like how things are going, not run away. Not every American will always be satisfied with gov't. You have to take the good with the bad. If you still want to go, good luck, because you surely will need it.
