Do cats SENSE your emotions?

Cats have a sixth sense about alot of things. Firstly, We give off "vibes" when we are emotionally involved with someone/something. Cats/animals in general can see/feel this. Thats wht cats tend to go towards people who have no interest in them, because it's a calmer situation.
