Doesn't marriage hinder reproduction?

Religiously we get married to reproduce and continue on our name. We biologically are supposed to spread our seed to as many people as possible to ensure our presence on the planet. Now marriage hinders that, only one woman can have so many kids but men can keep going and going and if they are married they cannot.
